NCLAT directs RCOM's RP to approach NCLT to seek a refund of Rs 5.77 billion from Ericsson

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLAT) has directed Reliance Communications’ (RCOM) resolution professional (RP) to approach National Company Law Tribunal- Mumbai to seek a refund of Rs 5.77 billion that it had earlier paid to Ericsson on Supreme Court’s direction.

Earlier, RCOM had approached NCLAT to comply Ericsson to refund Rs 5.76 billion.

The operator has sought the refund on the grounds that Ericsson should not have got its dues while other creditors and vendors await the proceeds from an impending asset sale under the ongoing insolvency process.
